Martin Parnell

A world-class endurance athlete with a humanitarian stride

Martin Parnell is a multi-Guinness World Record holder, endurance athlete, philanthropist, keynote speaker and author. Following a 25-year mining career, Martin embarked on a new challenge – starting the “Quests for Kids” initiative in 2010. These ‘Quests’ included running 250 marathons in one year, setting five Guinness World Records in endurance events and summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in 21 hours – raising $1.3M for the humanitarian organization Right To Play and reaching 27,000 children.
In 2014, Martin was also recognized as one of Alberta’s top five authors by CBC Radio. Based in Cochrane, Alberta, Martin strikes a chord with audiences coast-to-coast, inspiring Canadians with his unwavering message of a ‘Finish the Race Attitude’.
