Dr. Christine Gibson was in Nepal in April 2015 when the earthquake hit and watched the incredible local response. It was the expectation that she would be able to save people that made her realize that expertise can be a liability.
Christine Gibson is a family doctor who volunteers her time for academic consultation in family medicine training overseas. She is Executive Director of Global Familymed Foundation, a not-for-profit that supports the great work being done worldwide to bring better quality health care to those most in need.
