TEDxYYC 2018 Behind the Scenes: After Party

Jun 6, 2018

The 9th annual TEDxYYC event is bringing you something new, and it’s a special opportunity not to be missed. We’re hosting an After Party that will absolutely complete your TEDxYYC experience!

This year, after the speakers and performers have finished on the TEDxYYC stage, we’ll gather together to extend the amazing energy that makes this day so unique.

You’re invited to join us for an important journey far beyond your known boundaries of thought at TEDxYYC 2018 on June 22. Are you ready to explore a realm of possibilities you never knew existed?

Do you have your tickets yet? Don’t miss the chance to attend this inspiring event! We want to let you know how to be sure you get the full experience of TEDxYYC this year.

Can I attend the TEDxYYC 2018 After Party?

Yes! This event is open to all attendees until tickets are sold (but act quickly – there is limited capacity for this party.) Simply add an After Party ticket to your regular TEDxYYC ticket, and join us for a special chance to connect after the event.

If you’ve already purchased your ticket, don’t worry! You can upgrade your ticket to attend the after party through arts commons at this time. If a few tickets are still available on the day of the event, we’ll also have someone in the box office who can help you out.

The first ever TEDxYYC After Party is an opportunity for attendees to mix and mingle with the speakers and the volunteer committee. Each guest will be able to enjoy some complimentary refreshments from local breweries and distilleries.

What is the TEDxYYC After Party?

After such a jam-packed day full of incredible new ideas, this gathering will be a place for attendees to unwind and relax and to further reflect together on the day. It happens immediately after the TEDxYYC  talks at Arts Commons on June 22, 2018.

We’re not just bringing you fun, connection, and complimentary refreshments; there will also be live entertainment!

Local performing artists Tru Guy Stefan and Ryan Flood will be bringing their musical talents to the TEDxYYC 2018 After Party.

Tru Guy Stefan is a Music Messenger with a purpose, a travelling Troubadour sharing original songs of power and heart using voice, guitar, native flute, dulcimer, drums and percussion. Ryan Flood is a soulful, spontaneous and highly intuitive performer, with his favourite instruments being steel tongue drum, double headed native flute and more.

Ryan and Tru have a natural creative chemistry. Their ability to convey an emotional journey through original songs, soundscapes and improvisation inspires an enchanting and thought provoking experience.

An event that is all about creativity, inspiration, and shared ideas can only be improved by the energy that live music and personal connection can bring. Join us to mix and mingle with those who brought the event to life, and those who contributed their passions and ideas to the main stage.

As Calgary’s largest and most well-attended independently-organized TED event, we’re confident our ninth event will continue our legacy of excellence and inspiration in the areas of Technology, Entertainment, and Design. With an ongoing mission to bring like-minded individuals together to create, collaborate, and innovate at the highest level, TEDxYYC will inspire you to shape your future in new way.

I want to come! How do I get tickets?

Don’t miss out! Tickets for the After Party are already more than half sold, so grab your ticket today…simply include the After Party option that appears after the other ticket options.

We’ll see you at the TEDxYYC 2018 After Party!
