Speaker Catch-up: Eden Full

Feb 14, 2012

At TEDxYYC 2010 one of our most impressive speakers was Eden Full, a 17 year-old Calgarian who had invented a low-cost solar tracking system to be deployed in developing countries. We were blown away by her enthusiasm, drive and selflessness in trying to improve the lives of people through an ingenious and inexpensive conductor of solar energy.

Since Eden’s talk at our inaugural event Eden has been named one of Forbes Magazines ’30 Under 30’ , listed as one of ‘Four Young Social Good Entrepeneurs to Watch’ by Mashable and has recently been awarded the prestigious Thiel Fellowship.

We will continue to watch Eden closely and we have no doubt that she will make Calgary proud with her accomplishments. Watch her TEDxYYC 2010 talk here.
