A month after the TEDxYYC event, we’re still truly in awe of what took place on May 25th. We were certainly not alone in making this event happen, and from start to finish, we owe our volunteers, our sponsors, our community partners, our attendees, and lastly, our remarkable speakers many thanks.
Our event required the time, energy and efforts of hundreds of people and dozens of organizations. If you’re reading this, chances are this includes you in some way, and we want to say thank you for making TEDxYYC 2012 such a huge success.
In addition to our attendees, we had close to 2000 livestream viewers from across the globe join in the discussions that took place on May 25th. Thanks to our attendees and online community, TEDxYYC was also trending Twitter. Many of your tweets and retweets helped further spread the ideas from our speaker’s talks and the discussions that developed from your conversations with other attendees.
We’ve spent the last three weeks going through hundreds of photos and have now posted them on our Flickr and Facebook pages. Hop on over there and tag, comment, and share away.
We’re in the process of editing over 20 hours of footage from four HD camera’s and will be submitting the final speaker videos to TED shortly. Keep your eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter accounts, and the TEDxTalks Youtube channel as the talks should be posted within the next few weeks.
In the meantime, take a look at the video our good friends at Deluxe Design Group created during the event. Recognize anyone?
